[VMware vSphere 4.1] Update 3 릴리스

아기다리고기다리던 Update 3가 8월 31일 릴리스되었습니다.

이번 Update 3에는 게스트 OS가 늘어난 것을 제외하면 새로운 기능이 추가된 것은 없습니다만, 약 60여개의 known issue가 해결되었습니다.  자세한 내용은 릴리스 노트를 확인하세요.

개인적으로는 얼마전 포스팅한 이슈가 해결된거 같아서 다행이었습니다. 흐흐

이슈라기 보다는 문제가 발생중인 DELL사의 MD 32xxi 스토리지에서도 VMW_SATP_ALUA(Asymmetric Logical Unit Access)가 기능하게 되었다고 하는군요. 

●Default SATP Plugin is changed for ALUA supported LSI Arrays

On ESXi 4.1Update2 hosts, the default Storage Array Type Plugin (SATP) for LSI arrays was VMW_SATP_LSI, which did not support Asymmetric Logical Unit Access (ALUA) functionality. Starting with this release, SATP Plugin for LSI arrays that supports ALUA is changed to VMW_SATP_ALUA, so that TPGS/ALUA arrays are automatically claimed by the default VMW_SATP_ALUA satp plugin.The following storage arrays are claimed by VMW_SATP_ALUA:
