[VMware] Web Client를 통해 데이터스토어에 화일 업로드가 실패함

이미 많은 분들이 알고계시리라 생각됩니다만 개인적인 비망록으로...

■ 증상

vSphere 6.x 환경에서 Web Client를 통해 데이터스토어에 화일을 업로드하려고 하면 다음과 같은 에러가 발생하여 업로드가 실패할 경우가 있습니다.

The operation failed for an undetermined reason. Typically this problem occurs due to certificates that the browser does not trust. If you are using self-signed or custom certificates, open the URL below in a new browser tab and accept the certificate, then retry the operation.

■ 원인

위의 증상은 Web Client에 접속한 클라이언트에 vCenter의 셀프 SSL 증명서는 신뢰하지않기에 발생할 수 있습니다.

■ 해결방법

간단합니다.  https://vCenter 로 접속을 하며 화면 오른쪽 하단의 "Trusted root CA certificates"를 다운로드하여 Web Client에 접속하는 클라이언트의 "Trusted Root Certification Authorities"에 임포트를 해주면 됩니다. 증명서 임포트후 웹브라우저를 재시작후에 Web Client에 접속하면 데이터스토어에 화일을 업로드할 수 있을겁니다.
